| Cooking Tips and
Standing Chart
All microwave times
in the following charts are prepared in a 650 watt output microwave oven.
If your oven has a different output, follow the guide below. It is very
important for you to know that if you have a higher wattage output oven,
make sure you reduce the cooking times and check for doneness before serving.
You can always cook for a few seconds more.
For a 500/550 watt output
oven, increase the cooking time by about 20%
For a 700-watt output oven, decrease the cooking time by about 20%
For an 850-watt output oven, decrease the cooking time by about 30%

MEAT
AND POULTRY
|
|
|
|
Most meat and poultry responds well to microwave cooking,
but whenever possible, prime cuts should be chosen as they
tenderize more rapidly than less expensive parts.
When crispy and browning effects of conventional cooking and
shorter cooking time are both desired, Healthy Fx pouches
can be used to cook the food halfway, then traditional oven
cooking methods can be used to brown the food on the outside.
