For
best results, do not puncture or leave an opening prior to
heating. Tightly seal the pouch.
During
heating, the pouch inflates to form a pillow
and then self-vents to prevent bursting.
The
microwave cooking pouch effectively captures and retains
the heat and moisture inside the bag, shortening the cooking
time
In order
to take advantage of the heat retained in the microwave
cooking pouch, always allow the food to stand for anywhere
from several seconds to several minutes after cooking in
the sealed microwave cooking pouch before serving. See suggested
cooking and standing chart.
Foods
can be cooked first in the microwave and then finished off
under the grill (broiler) to crisp or brown a topping. With
a little practice, your microwave will work in perfect harmony
with your conventional oven.
Because
of personal preferences as to what represents "perfect"
doneness, when cooking a food for the first time, always
start with the lowest recommended time, and then increase
the time as necessary.
When
cooking in a microwave cooking pouch you can either:
Place the food directly inside the bag or
Place
the food on a microwave safe container and then place the
container inside the bag.
It is
recommended to use a container when heating food that are
high in fat or sugar content as those components may block
the venting "holes" and diminish the bags cooking
performance.
Do not
use the Microwave Cooking Pouches as a mixing bowl. Blocking
of the venting "holes" will compromise the performance.
